CHEMICAL CONTROL MEASURES: TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS These specifications are applicable for all types of structures with R.C.C. foundations or with load bearing walled foundations. The principle of the treatment is to create a chemical barrier below the internal flooring so as to deny entry to termites into the premises. STAGE – 1: Treatment to the internal wall and floor junctionsHoles of 12-mm diameter, 4-5 inch deep, 30 cms apart will be drilled along the inner junction of wall and floor within the entire premises to be treated. The termiticide emulsion will be injected under pressure into these holes to create a chemical barrier against termites. Drilling will not be carried out in the Basement, if the premise to be treated is in basement as the waterproofing layer gets damaged. Only soaking spray to walls, cracks & crevices will be done in the Basement. The drilling treatment will also not be carried out at the wall & floor junctions in the toilet & bathrooms to prevent damage to the waterproofing layer in these areas. However it will be done 1 ft above the floor level. STAGE – 2: Treatment to wooden fixturesHoles of 12 mm dia, 30 cms apart will be drilled at the junction of base of wooden- members and the floor such as door frames, window frames and termiticide emulsion will be injected. This treatment is not possible in premises located in basement / terrace to avoid damage to the waterproofing layer. An oil based termiticide will be sprayed on all the wood work/wooden furniture infested by termites within the premises. STAGE – 3: Treatment to termite tubesVisible & accessible shelter mud tubes will be removed and the infested area will be treated with our termiticide emulsion. All the drilled holes will be sealed using chalk and cement. Suggestions to clients on Preventive Measures to be taken:
