CHEMICAL CONTROL MEASURES:
This treatment involves a thorough inspection of the entire premises to be treated prior to the treatment to identify the breeding and hiding spots of bedbugs and study the area for executing the treatment. The success of the treatment depends on the coverage of maximum to all bedbug infested areas during the bedbug treatment.
This treatment is carried out by providing thorough oil / water based suitable residual insecticide spray to all the bedbug infested areas within the premises. All the folds and tufts of the mattresses, carpets, upholstery of chairs and sofas, hollow bed frames, cracks and crevices in the entire premises, the gaps in the photo frame, behind small openings in the wall paper, window and door frames of bedroom, gaps / cracks in the storage cabinets / wardrobes, behind wall colour peels and such other bedbug hiding places will be covered.
All the windows have to be closed prior to the treatment. After the treatment the entire premises have to be kept closed for minimum 3 hours to enable the insecticide to have its desired effect and then ventilated for one hour after the exposure period. No human beings should be present inside the premises from the start of insecticide exposure period till the ventilation of the premises. Special care should be taken to keep the pets, if any away from the premises to be treated for a day.
FREQUENCY: The infestation of bedbugs depends upon the surrounding conditions, the sanitation and hygienic conditions which defer from place to place. 4 treatments per annum of which the second treatment should be provided 15 – 20 days after the first treatment. The balance 2 treatments are to be provided at a interval of 4 months each from the second treatment.
Suggestions to clients on Preventive Measures to be taken:
All the cracks, crevices in the walls should be effectively sealed after our treatment to reduce the hiding places for bedbugs.
The travel bags should be checked properly for any infestation prior to entering your premises from a tour.
Seal all cracks, crevices in the main door frames to your premises to deny entry to bugs from the neighborhood into your premises.
Gaps in wooden furniture should be sealed with wood wax to deny hiding place for bedbugs in it.
A periodical check is advised to keep a track on the bug infestation in your premises. |
