CHEMICAL CONTROL MEASURES:

A blanket spray with a suitable water based residual insecticide will be applied to the damp walls, areas under poor light arrangements, dark corners of structures, crawl spaces and such other Psocid infested areas.

FREQUENCY: Weekly / Fortnightly intervals depending on the season and level of infestation.

Suggestions to clients on Preventive Measures to be taken:

1. A heater shall be used in the Psocid infested rooms to raise the temperature of the room from moist conditions to warm to hot conditions. This will control the infestation.
2. Windows should be kept open for 3-4 hours for free air movement.
3. In many cases providing ventilation, solving the dampness problem in structures, airing the room, reducing the moisture or slightly raising the room temperatures  proves useful in reducing this pest menace.
